Hand-pulled Original Prints

I design and create variable-edition original artist hand-pulled prints. These are very different from reproduction prints. With original artist hand-pulled prints the artist is involved throughout the whole printing process. The artist creates a design for a specific printing technique, prepares print blocks or plates by either scratching or cutting a design into them, hand colours the paper, manually inks the design plate, lays the paper on top of the inked plate and then either burnishes the backside of the paper with a spoon or applies pressure with a press to transfer the image from the inked plate onto the paper. I check and sign each original print in an edition to ensure it is as I intended. Because these are hand printed works, my print editions are limited to 50 or less and many are unique one-of a kind mono-prints.
