Wild Ginger and Wood Sorrel #3 - Hand-pulled Original Print
About The Work:
This artwork reflects on bees as pollinators along with herbal, medicinal and edible plants found growing wild in Manitoba. Depicted here are wild ginger, wood sorrel, bedstraw and bees. This varied edition hand-pulled linocut print was created from my own original design that I drew onto and then hand carved into a piece of linoleum. I inked the carved lino, layered paper I hand-made from recyclables overtop and then hand-pulled the combo through my roller press to transfer the ink from the carved lino onto the hand-made paper. This original artwork was inspired in response to reading the novel Swarm by Manitoba author Lauren Carter.
Artwork Size: 8 x 10 inches matted to fit an 11x14 inch standard frame size. Frame is not included.
This is a varied edition limited run of 20 works hand printed onto paper hand-made by the artist. Each work is unique, matted and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.
Please note that colors may appear slightly different on screen than they do in person. Frames are not supplied.
