Peace Garden - Original Pen and Ink

$185.00

About The Work:

This work reflects the peace and tranquility I experience when my senses are attuned to the beauty and diversity of our green world. First I created a unique mono-print background by applying layers of acrylic paints to a gelli-plate and transferring these layers onto paper. I knew I wanted to add pen and ink detail overtop, so I brought this along with me on my creative adventure to New Zealand. While there I was so inspired by the diverse plant life and from that inspiration I drew botanical designs over the background. On returning home I then hand coloured and further embellished the work using acrylic paint and inks.

As a multi-passionate creator, I use a variety of mediums to create my work including pen and ink, printmaking and acrylic painting. I like to create my work with a calm, quiet meditative process with it being a reflection of what I observe around me when I am walking in nature.
