Westman Region Juried Art Show
In April 2024 I entered two of my linocuts on handmade paper into the Westman Region Annual Juried Art Show. This show was organized by the Arts West Council and the Hamiota Mid-West Art Club and held in Kenton, MB on the 28th of April 2024. Out of 103 works entered, twenty were chosen for the Arts West Council's 2024/25 Travelling Gallery Show which will be touring communities in the Westman Region of Manitoba for the next year. Every artwork received written feedback from each of the jurors Ben Davis and Leona Herzog. My work Wild Ginger and Wood Sorrel 5 was among the twenty selected to tour. It was an incredible day, with a large crowd coming and going to view the works. The People's Choice Award went to Kerri Wilson of Hamiota for her amazing mixed media artwork Imagine. Can you guess which piece in these photos was Kerri's?
